The main objective of the project
developed employee involvement in undertakings representing metal sector across the EU and Candidate Countries achieved through raised awareness and improved capacity of workers’ representatives to exercise their rights to information, consultation and participation in the context of company-level implementation of the European Green Deal until completion of the project.
Start and go! Social partners towards effective processes of establishing and managing EWCs.
The main goal of the project is to enhance the ability of European Works Council (EWC) members from 7 EU Member States to anticipate economic changes and address issues related to employee involvement. Another objective is to promote transnational cooperation among EWC members. The project also aims to raise awareness among employees and employer representatives about the advantages of establishing an EWC. Furthermore, the project aims to disseminate good practices of EWCs by documenting and sharing specific examples of best practices. Additionally, it seeks to foster collaboration between employers and employees in defining and implementing specific responses to challenges associated with employee involvement. Lastly, the project aims to improve knowledge of EU law concerning employee involvement through active engagement with social partners from Serbia and comprehensive dissemination activities targeted at candidate countries.
Worker participation in GIG economy – long term scenarios for automotive sector.
This project is a continuation of the transnational work carried out by FZZ Metalowcy, focusing on increasing employee involvement. The project targets employers and workers in the automotive industry, the largest industrial sector in the EU. The consortium includes representatives from workers, employers, and a university from various EU Member States and a candidate country. The project aims to address the problem of insufficient employee involvement in strategic decision-making within companies, particularly in relation to future development and challenges in the labor market. The main objective is to enhance workers’ influence on strategic decisions within multinational corporations in the automotive sector through improved knowledge, cooperative abilities, and a joint action plan. The project is aligned with the objectives defined in the call for proposals and seeks to address the evolving definition of workers due to the emergence of the gig economy and atypical forms of employment, requiring intervention from policymakers and social partners to ensure effective worker participation.
