EWC Mentors’ Effective Networking and Training Cooperation Reinforcement

Online workshop – consultation on chatbot content

23.09.2024

An online workshop was held to consult on the development of a chatbot aimed at supporting workers’ representatives in understanding and managing European Works Councils (EWCs). The meeting began with a presentation of the project’s progress, focusing on the creation of a mentor network, training materials, and the implementation of the mentoring programme. A key part of the workshop was dedicated to introducing the chatbot concept, which is intended as a practical tool offering both general and advanced information on EWCs, covering topics such as establishment, operations, and enforcement. Participants reviewed the draft content, provided valuable feedback on its clarity, relevance, and completeness, and discussed how the chatbot could also facilitate direct expert support. A prototype of the tool was demonstrated to illustrate its future functionality. The meeting closed with a summary of upcoming steps, including content refinement, expert review, and further dissemination efforts within the scope of the project.
