MetaTech Exchange: Bridging Industry 4.0 in Western Balkans (METATECH4.0)

A 3-day online capacity building among 20 selected VET teachers per WB country is scheduled for the period September- October 2026. This activity will ensure sustainability and dissemination of knowledge beyond the project duration. The selection criteria for VET teachers from Western Balkan (WB) countries will be carefully designed to ensure the sustainability and effective dissemination of knowledge beyond the project duration.

The following selection criteria were proposed:
o Relevant Experience: Preference should be given to VET teachers with substantial experience in delivering vocational education and training programs, particularly in the metal sector or related fields.
o Technical Expertise: Candidates should possess a strong background in technical subjects relevant to the metal industry, such as manufacturing processes, machinery operation, CNC programming, automation, and digital technologies.
o Pedagogical Skills: Demonstrated competency in pedagogy, including lesson planning, student assessment, and classroom management, is crucial.

During trainings we will use “diagnostic assessment” which involves pre-tests/ assessments to assess the learners current knowledge and the areas needed to be improved. This will help us to see where the learners stand and identify how to further develop the training programmes. At the end of the training course the learners will be assessed with a post training assessment.
